Don't just take our word for it!  This is what others have said about their stays at the properties......

Raj T. said.....Travelling in a party of 3 friends we had a wonderful stay at the Barn in Frolois. We were blessed with lovely sunshine throughout our stay which allowed us to enjoy the terrace outside overlooking the glorious countryside. At night all we could hear was the hooting of owls and we even saw a shooting star as we enjoyed a late night glass of wine and star gazing. Sharon has created a real home from home for her visitors with ensuite bathrooms, instant hot water and very comfortable beds. The decor is lovely and very relaxing. The kitchen provides everything you could need and the barbecue outside allows for outdoor cooking. Sharon and her family, who live next door, provide welcome support, always helpful but never intrusive. The meal ordering service is amazing, enabling us to enjoy restaurant quality food without needing to worry about driving home! We arrived to a feast of cold meats and cheeses together with salad, homemade dressing and local mustards which had been left in our fridge. Just what was needed after a long journey. The welcome pack was also lovely with wine, mustard and fantastic homemade plum jam!!!! We had neglected to buy milk on our journey so Sharon provided us with some for our morning cuppa! We also enjoyed Sharon's amazing boeuf bourgignon and ordered her Pavlova twice it was so good! What can be better than enjoying a day out and returning to a lovely meal delivered to you? The morning croissants delivered to our windowsill were also a treat and were enjoyed with the plum jam!! Sharon's advice on local places to visit was excellent; beautiful places without needing to travel too far. We visited Flavigny (where I stocked up on my favourite aniseed sweets), Semur-en Auxois, le Chateau de Bussy-Rabutin and the amazing Abbey of Fontenay. We also enjoyed the market at Chablis and had lunch in the mediaeval town of Noyers. I cannot recommend this property too highly. We enjoyed a fabulous holiday and were very reluctant to leave what felt like our 'home' in a beautiful part of France. Thankyou Sharon and family for making us feel so welcome.

The Crumpler family said......We had a fantastic week at La Petite Maison. The cottage itself is perfect, with everything you can possibly need. It is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The views are stunning and gardens are very relaxing. The morning deliveries of bread and pastries, and delicious food prepared by Sharon were the perfect addition to making our holiday relaxing. There are lots of beautiful, interesting places in the surrounding area to visit. We would highly recommend a stay here and also ordering some of Sharon's delicious home made dinners!

Paul M. said.....We were a family of four staying at 'The Barn''. Oli and Emily aged 9 and 6. It was a lovely relaxing place to stay! It's immaculate throughout. If a younger family was stopping, Sharon has thought of all the small details e.g.. safety catches on fridge, stools for children in the bath room and other handy equipment. Plenty of games and books for them to play with. A big bonus was when the offer of a paddling pool was blown up by Grégoire! Really appreciated! We enjoyed discovering Flagnivy, which we visited a few times. Beautiful village! We went to Abbaye de Fontenay and Dijon, both very interesting. There's a great app for Dijon, that shows you different tours on foot and gives you details at each spot of where you are. We discovered 'The Owl Trail'. The children loved following the brass owl triangles on the floor for the trail! We went to the source of The Seine to discover where the mighty river starts! Which is amazing showing photos of it in Paris to Oli and Em. Nearby Darcy we had a lovely wooded walk and picnic. Went paddling and discovering a cave. The offer of croissants, pain au chocolat and baguettes delivered fresh every morning was a delight! Oli and Em eagerly awaited for the basket on the windowsill! We had freshly baked pizzas baked fresh to order by Sharon when we came back from Dijon, really tasty! Lots of other food was offered. Last but not least, Ned and Noodles!! The lovely kittens that Oli and Emily befriended! Certainly kept them entertained in the garden! They are still mentioned when we came home to the UK! A thoroughly enjoyable stay, so relaxing! Wishing you all the best Sharon and family!

Annoymous said.....Our time in this property was spent relaxing from our busy lives in the city and it is perfect for doing just this. Tucked away in a small courtyard, it is furnished in a comfortable relaxing way (Sharon has thought of everything!) and there is everything you need and plenty of space. Daily bread from the shop was essential! I would definitely recommend this house.

Andreas. Man erhält immer rechtzeitig alle Informationen. Im Haus liegt eine Mappe mit Hinweisen aller Art und Ausflugstipps, die ebenfalls hilfreich ist. Alles in allem: Wir waren begeistert und geben gerne volle fünf Sterne *****

Petra said.....Op vakantie wil ik graag 'thuiskomen' in een karakteristiek, mooi, gezellig én schoon huis. The Barn voldoet hier ruimschoots aan!

Rosemary G. said.....Just had a lovely week at La Petite Maison,17-24th June 2017. Sharon and Gregoire are a lovely couple, very helpful and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We enjoyed Sharon's excellent meals on 2 nights and would definitely recommend the Beouf Bourguignon and the Duck au Vin,both are restaurant quality. The house has everything you could need and is very clean and comfortable. The garden is also lovely with different seating areas, including a covered dining space, very useful in hot weather. Sharon gave us tips on where to eat out..La Grange at Flavigny is a must. She also recommended Domaine Flavigny-Alesia for wine, which also proved to be an excellent choice,we brought home some excellent reds from there. Very much looking forward to a return trip to La Petite Maison in the near future. Warm regards, Douglas and Rosemary Gibson

Michael H. said.....Everything was as shown on the web but it still did not do it justice. Nice sitting-room come kitchen with lots of space and plenty of utensils. A door up a flight of stairs into a very large bedroom and ensuite with double shower. Large windows on both floors give both light and plenty of breeze keeping the house nice and cool. We had very good weather with 30 degrees plus but still managed good nights sleep in the comfortable bed. There is a large garden with some shade and plenty of room to park plus a small terrace with barbecue . Lots of hot water and a heated towel rail if needed. All the above was of a high quality. The local shop had the most wonderful bread and was very well stocked although you obviously pay more than a hyper market. We felt it was nice to spend money in the village where people were very friendly. Nice to walk out in the evenings too and get a drink at the restaurant around the corner. The area is good for walking as the Seine Valley is nearby. This is a long distance walk that can easily be done in stages starting from the source of the Seine which is in fact classified as part of Paris. Good walks also at Flavigny and Veneray where there is an excellent tourist office. Last but not least it was a real pleasure dealing with and meeting Sharon the owner. We would recommend Lucy's Hideaway.

Nancy S said.....What a lovely comfortable place. Sharon and her husband Grégoire and the 2 girls welcomed we four from New Zealand, with open arms and could not be more genial hosts.Everything we wished for was there and we really enjoyed our stay.Wandering in the quiet lanes, visiting the city or searching for,and swimming in the local waterways, were all enjoyable.Anyone who stays there must try Sharon's delicious cuisine. When we came home late after a long day in the heat we just had to sit back and it arrived...Boeuf bourgignonne was our choice. You have to see their two kittens...Lucy's babies!!! ......also the many small lizards basking in the heat of the stone cottage. They have 2 other properties nearby and I imagine they will be just as good. We wish the family all the very best and would thoroughly recommend their hospitality.

Howard C. said.....We loved our stay in this cosy little cottage, nestled deep in a remote French village. The decor is clearly fresh, and very well appointed, looking just as good as it does in the photos. There is everything you need for your stay, and the enclosed outdoor area is lovely and tranquil. The owners are local, and extremely helpful with anything you need from local restaurant reservations to bookings for attractions and days out. Highly recommended for a couple looking to get away from a busy lifestyle and unwind for a while!

Marion J. said.....We had a delightful long weekend in this property. It is very well equipped and just like the photos. The bedroom is enormous and really spacious with good storage. Downstairs the living area was light with really pretty touches. We enjoyed our morning coffee and croissant (from the local shop!) on the little terrace right next to the house, and our dog loved running about in the enclosed grassy area. The village is a typical sleepy place, but does have a good little shop and a restaurant, but we didn't try it. Lots to see in the surrounding area. Abaaye de Fontenay was our personal favourite. We would love to return for longer next time! Highly recommend Lucy's Hideaway.
